Steven Moore
Steve has conducted a series of lectures on comedy writing for journalists and advertising people at the University of Houston’s prestigious Southwest Writers Conference. He has amply demonstrated his ability to apply comedy to individual needs as Artistic Director of Houston’s famed Comedy Workshop where he designed and taught writing and performing seminars. He has coached and trained stars including Brett Butler (star of Grace under Fire), Sam Kenison (HBO specials and star of Back to School), Janine Garafolo (star of The Truth About Cats and Dogs and Matchmaker), the legendary comic Bill Hicks and many more.
His concert tours with acts as diverse as country music’s Earl Scruggs, Las Vegas’ Lola Falana, rocker Graham Nash, and blues great B.B. King have shown his own ability as a performer to excel in a wide variety of very different situations.
Steven has been a favorite on the college circuit for over ten years. The New York Times described him as “an accomplished comedian”. His comedy has been quoted on Newsweek and Forum and his routine featured in the Book of the Month Club selected novel, COLD KILL by Jack Olson. As a headliner in nightclubs, Steven has appeared, literally, all over the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. His unique sense of humor, up to the minute material and high energy delivery leaves audiences roaring and makes Steven an often requested performer.
